About our car
We are traveling with old van – VW T3 from 1989 bought in Poland for $600. In the car we have our own electric shower, bed, kitchen, 220V power converter and many other staff – all made by ourselves.
About our journey
Karol „Charlie” Lewandowski and Aleksandra Ślusarczyk are young travel bloggers from Poland, authors of „Bus Around The World” blog (www.busemprzezswiat.pl), who did not have a lot of money but wanted to see the world.
We bought an old van for $600, painted it, took tents and supplies of food and just took off. In 6 years we visited more than 50 countries and we traveled more than 150.000 km on 5 continents. We never paid for accommodation (we sleep in the van and in tents) and we eat what we cook.
Our old car breaks down very often, but we learned how to repair it during the trip. We had over 50 car failures.
Readers of our blog and accidentally met people join us and share fuel costs. More than 50 people from Polish and other countries traveled with us
During 6 years we show to readers of our blog that even with limited budget, they can make their dreams come true.
Our blog is very popular among young people – we have over 60,000 fans on Facebook, blog awarded title of The Best Blog of the Year in 2014 in Poland, and we have appeared on the biggest TV stations in Poland. Videos from trips on youtube have been watched over 1,500,000 times. We have over 100 media patrons, and many projects have been made and inspired by our idea.

But we succeeded.
In a crazy journey with colored car we met some bad people, but plenty of good. We ran away before the bull and the bear, we got to Stephen King’s novel and partied with the pastor.
We saw the most beautiful places in Switzerland, Italy, France and many other countries, we know every hole on the road and we looked at Africa from the edge of Europe. Then we were arrested.
This book is a testimony of our journey. It tells that every dream can come true.”
